Il Chianti
Chianti is the hilly area between Florence and Siena, between Arezzo and the Pisan Hills, which has always been considered the 'heart of Tuscany'; it is a succession of splendid landscapes marked by dense vineyards, chestnut, oak and holm oak woods, evocative medieval villages, romantic castles and fascinating farmhouses. It is also the land where one of the most famous red wines in the world is produced: Chianti. The Chianti area is the ideal place for trips between medieval villages, romantic vineyards and characteristic hilly landscapes. In every small village it is possible to come across cellars, castles and farms and taste the fine wine in one of the numerous wine shops. The origins, rich in a legendary history, and the winemaking tradition have made the Clante area (the name of a stream in the Etruscan age) famous throughout the world.

San Giovanni Valdarno
San Giovanni Valdarno, which is just 3 km from the property, is one of the main centers of the Arezzo area and is located halfway between Florence and Arezzo. Surrounded by hills and mountains, San Giovanni Valdarno has maintained its medieval appearance, with the typical conformation of the so-called "new lands": in the center there is a large square and all around shady porticoes to delimit the streets. The country offers art lovers many attractions, including churches, museums and cultural centers. The village is known internationally for being the birthplace of Tommaso di Giovanni Cassai, known as Masaccio, who moved to Florence at a very young age to start his artistic career.
